Steering Gear

Our electro-hydraulic steering gear have a simple, compact design and employ an extremely responsive hydraulic system. They are highly reliable and durable, and can be used in a wide range of vessels, including commercial ships, naval ships and specialized ships.

History

1935  Manufactured first steering gear (Rapson slide actuator and trunk piston actuator)
1962  Established a technical agreement on rotary vane type actuators with AEG, Germany.
1970  Employed the compact type remote control receiver, developed in collaboration with
Tokyo Keiki & Yokogawa Denshi Kiki, for the first time for SF and DF types.
1978  Developed the C type in collaboration with Clevis Actuator.
1983  Developed & employed single loop control system with torque motors for types SFT
and DFT.
1985  Developed the SFC type with a hydraulic vane pump for the Rapson slide actuator.
1993  Established a technical license agreement on steering gear with Yoowon Industries, Korea.
2007  Produced a record number of steering gear (7,000 sets).
2012  Established a technical license agreement on steering gear with Jiangsu Masada Heavy
 Industries, China.
